from the Ambassador
The modern diplomatic relations between our countries date back to 1938 when Japan opened its Honorary General Consulate in Casablanca. Shortly after Morocco’s regaining its independence in 1956, Morocco and Japan quickly established diplomatic relations. Since than, Japan has been a strong and reliable partner of Morocco and has played in important role in accompanying Morocco’s efforts to build its economy and its Nation. The good relations between the Royal Family of Morocco and the Imperial Family of Japan testify to the already excellent relations, as witnessed during the State visit of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI to Japan end of November 2005. This website aims to provide information about Morocco’s history and its institutions, and most importantly the current political, economic, cultural and social reforms taking place in the Kingdom. This website also aims to provide touristic information’s about Morocco in order too stimulate Japanese to visit my country. Morocco is one of the World’s most intriguing countries, rich in history, architecture, scenery, and hospitality. Other main objective is to give details about investment in my country which really offers many opportunities. Morocco holds many assets as attractive location for Japanese investors, beginning with its very geo-strategic position at the crossroads of many continents, its network of FTA (USA, EU, Turkey Egypt….), its political and social stability, its competitiveness production cost and developed infrastructure… One of our tasks is also to facilitate administrative procedures for the Moroccan community living in Japan by providing them with all documents they need.
